A thankful heart...

The year has come and gone and I would like to take this time to really thank you for your support and sincere love for me throughout this year. I have grown so much in my character: I´ve learned to be more considerate and developed trust in my frienships; Leadership,

I learnt to be more confident and to be able to speak in to people lives boldly.

This is the last week of the school and like a fairy tale comes to an end I want to say that We have had the most amazing three months of sharing the joy and trials of digging deep in to the scriptures. I got to see in each of the students that God has given them new identity,new visions, and grow deeper in trusting God to take the lead in their lives.

Thank you for praying for this school,be encouraged that God has broken through in many ways and that you were part of investing in to His kingdom.

So what´s next for me?

I have desires on my heart for the next year but I´m waiting on God for confirmation,so I would like to invite you to pray along with me and we can hear God together on my behalf.

I want to do the ESL school(English as a Second Language) in the United States

1-To improve my english skills

2-To train people in communities so they can find better

Job´s opportunities, and share the gospel effectively.

So there you go.

God´s Gifts

Dear family and friends,

I hope all is well with you and I pray this update will bless you and bring refreshment to you.

     I want to share about something God has been speaking to me recently.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body being fitly joined together and knit together by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

     These scriptures talks about the different gifts and parts of the body of Christ, and how each role plays a unique part amongst His people. I strongly felt that God was reminding me of the way He had made me and even the gifts that He has blessed me with. For some reason I started to look outside of my gifts and it was an open door for the enemy to steal my contentment in my own abilities to serve God.

     Through these scriptures God confirmed to me that He has given certain gifts so I can bless the body of Christ and I have to be content with that. I also realized that there is no talent higher than any other, we were all given certain gifting so we can advance God´s Kingdom on earth.

     Now I can confidenly say that I´m thankful and grateful for God´s blessings in my life. That through my talents and gifts I can bless others and glorify His name.

Quick update of the school:

     We´re on the 9^th week of the school and it´s crazy how time flies, however the students are still hungry for more of God. We´ve finish reading the whole New Testament and we are half way through reading and studying the Old Testament. This week we are studying Revelations and yes this is one of the great books of the bible. Revelation is an overall picture of the second coming of Christ and the victory of the Lamb of God. It´s the day that we´re all waiting for!

So on top of all these great stuff I have an endless list of homework to grade, exciting WooHoooooooo!

To know God and to make Him known.

Esta es mi segunda vez siendo personal de Estudios Biblicos Intensivos(EBBI) y les cuento que cada vez leo las escrituras veo siempre el amor y la compasion de Jesus hacia nosotros,eso me impacta.

Los estudiantes y yo hemos estado descubriendo las intenciones de Dios hacia la humanidad desde el principio,la vida de los apostoles y el mensaje que estos dejaron detras de su sufrimiento.

Un ejemplo de esto fue la vida y ministerio de Pablo y su imparable lucha de predicar el evangelio y dar a conocer a Jesus,Dios y Espiritu Santo estas fueron las cosas que lo llevaron a ser uno de los martires mas reconocidos.

Peleo y defendio el evangelio y como resultado de esa pelea el dia de hoy tenemos iglesias formadas y con instrucciones de vivir una vida que agrada a Dios.

Estudios Biblicos intensivos es una super escuela no solo para aquellos que anhelan ser pastores o comenzar un ministerio en el futuro si no tambien para los que quieren tener un buen fundamento de la palabra de Dios en sus vidas y familias.

Mi rol en la escuela es ayudar a los estudiantes a tener un mejor entendimiento del metodo inductivo, guiarlos a traves de sus tareas,y ayudarles a ponerse en los zapatos de los lectores originales.

Estos son los libros que hemos leido Hechos,Filemon,Hebreos, Juan,Marcos,Mateo,Ezequiel,lucas de los cuales estudiamos Hechos,filemon y Hebreos a profundidad.

Aquí les comparto un poquito de lo que he estado aprendiendo:

1-Dios no nos fuerza a obededecer El desea que nuestras decisiones sean tomadas en Fe.

2-En Cristo tenemos una nueva identidad,somos amados,somos parte de la familia Cristiana,y todos tenemos el mismo valor

3-La exortacion es una forma de producir cambios para estilo de vida.

Es maravilloso el poder aprender de la BIBLIA!!

The challenge is to reflect God´s character as we share His message to others.

El reto es poder reflejar el carácter de Dios a medida que compartimos Su mensaje a otros.

Heb 4:16 Por tanto, acerquémonos con confianza al trono de la gracia para que recibamos misericordia, y hallemos gracia para la ayuda oportuna.

This is my second time being staff of the Bible Core Course(BCC). Every time I read the scriptures, it strikes me that, I always see the love and compassion of Jesus toward us.

The students and I have been discovering the intentions of God to mankind from the beginning, the life of the apostles and the message that they left behind during their suffering.

An example of this was the life and ministry of Paul and his relentless struggle to preach the gospel and make known Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. These were the things that led him to be one of the most renowned martyrs. He fought and defended the gospel and as a result churches today have trained and instructed us to live a life pleasing to God.

The Bible Core Course is an intensive but excellent school, not only for those who yearn to be pastors or start a ministry in the future but also for those who want to have a good foundation of the Word of God in their lives.

My role in the school to help students gain a better understanding of the inductive method, guide them through their homework and help them to put themselves into the shoes of the original readers.

These are the books we have read so far are Acts, Philemon, Hebrews, John, Mark, Matthew, Ezekiel, and Luke. The books we have studied so far are Acts, Philemon and Hebrews.

It’s interesting to see how Acts is the foundation for most of the other books in the bible. 

This is what I´ve been learning:

1-God does not force obedience but desires that our faith in love be a free decision.

2-In Christ we have a new identity, we are loved, we are all part of the Christian family and we all have the same value.

3-Exortation is a way to produce a change in life style.

It is awesome to be able to learn about the BIBLE!

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

New Adventures..........

Durante el mes de Julio estuve participando en un ministerio en el que visitamos mamas solteras,parques,orfanatos y ademas de eso estuvimos compartiendo con adolescentes.

Una situacion muy especial sucedió despues de que hablamos con las mamas solteras sobre valores. Valores que ellas tienen como mamas,mujeres e hijas de Dios. Una de ellas comenzo a llorar por que se preguntaba que nosotros que eramos extraños viniendo de lejos estabamos alli con ellas. Tal vez sus padres nunca les dieron el afecto y cariño que nosotros les dimos ese dia. Para mi esto es un ejemplo del amor de Dios, por que no importando de donde venimos,lo que hemos hecho o quienes somos siempre seguiremos siendo sus hijos amados.

Trabaje con Casas de Esperanza donde construimos casas para personas que no tienen los recursos necesarios para construir una.Y todo esto lo hacemos con ayuda de equipos que vienen a corto plazo de otras sedes de Juventud con Una Misión(JUCUM). Es tan increible ver como un grupo de personas puede construir una casa real para alguien que nunca tuvo una. Es como ser la respuesta a las oraciones de estas personas. Algo que si me impacta de este ministerio es ver el esfuerzo y el corazon que pone cada persona del equipo para construir la casa.Y en el otro lado ver la casa terminada y las sonrisas,lagrimas de un sueño que se ha convertido en realidad gracias a Dios.

En los ultimos tres meses he estado dando clases de español a 5 estudiantes de la Escuela de Niños en Riesgo. Durante una clase de español los estudiantes me preguntaron si podian tener mas horas de lo normal para aprender mas. Eso me motivo, por que senti que lo que estoy enseñando vale la pena.Y

me da animo para seguirlo haciendo.

Una de mis metas para la próxima escuela de Estudios Bíblicos Intensivos es prepararme bien para poder enseñar 1 Pedro y discutir con los estudiantes sobre preguntas o cosas relacionadas a esta carta. Pedro es una carta muy delicada y talves ellos tendran muchas preguntas o dudas. Me gustaría que ellos salieran con un panorama mas claro de esta y asi la puedan enseñar a otros.

Esta escuela de Estudios Biblicos Intensivos empieza el 23 de este mes de Septiembre,tenemos 8 estudiantes de 4 diferentes paises y estamos emocionados de empezar estos tres meses de aventura descubriendo mas de las escrituras.

Aprecio mucho sus oraciones por mi,aqui hay algunas ideas de como pueden orar por mi: Fuerzas, refrescamiento y sabiduria para liderar la escuela y por las provincion financiera tambien.

 During July I participated a ministry visiting single mothers and their children, we went to parks and visited an orphanage to work with the teenagers there. Apart from that we had talks with the youth of a local church about various topics. - Something amazing happened after talking to the single mothers about values concerning them as mothers, women and God´s children. One of them started crying after asking herself, why we came to share time with them although we were strangers. Most of them never received the attention and affection from their parents that they received from us that day. To me this is an example of God´s unlimited love. A love which does not care about where we come from, what we have done or who we are. We will always be his beloved children.

For about a month I volunteered with 'Homes of Hope'. Together we built houses for families who lack financial resources. We do all of this with the help of short term teams which come from different chruches or other YWAM locations. My part was to translate for the team while constructing with them. To see how a team builds a house from the scratch for someone who has never had one before, is really something extraordinary. It truly is the answer to their prayers. One thing that really impressed me about this ministry was to see each member of the team putting so much effort and love to their work. And finally I was struck by the smiles and tears after the house was finished.

The last 3 months I also have been given Spanish classes to 5 students of the 'Children in Risk School'. During one of these classes the students asked me if i can teach them more hours then required so that they can learn more. This motivated me because I could see that investing my time in teaching them is really worth it and it encourages me to continue in what I am doing.

One of my goals for the upcoming'Bible Core Course' is to perpare a teaching about 1^st Peter, gathering important points related to this letter, including leading a discussion about this letter. It's a delicate book and the students may have a lot of questions or doubts about it. At the end of the classes I would like to see them leave with a better understanding so that they also can teach about it. This school starts the 23^rd of September. We already have 8 students from 4 different countries and are excited to start this 3-months adventure of discovering more about the bible with them.
