May I have a Bible ?

Testimonies like these are those that I have been a part of; “I want a Bible?” “Can you give me a Bible?” “I was praying for a Bible because yesterday I gave mine away.” “You are an answer to my prayers from God.” Or listening to an elderly man yell at us saying “Give me a Bible please.” And a little girl saying, “I want a Bible for my mom.” Is it not fascinating to see that yes there is a hunger inside the human being to know God and his Word. It is not only to distribute a Bible, it is to invite someone to be a part of the great family and to have a personal relationship with God.

We have been in Tres Rios distributing Bibles for three Saturdays. Of the 24,000 homes, 3,500 have recieved a Bible. Many people have given their lives to God and also, many have recieved prayers for all kinds of necessities. 

My role as a project coordinator in Tres Rios and Cartago is to train pastors and church leaders in how to effectively distribute bibles and I am also assistant to the Project Manager. Mostly distributions are made on Saturdays. 

When I see all of these communities with hunger to know Jesus and with the desire to see their lives changed, it makes me want to continue sharing the love 
of Jesus.

God is faithful and He will fulfill His purpose in Costa Rica.

His Love never fails!

We all know the truth that God loves us. It is very easy to overlook this but the reality is that nothing can separate us from his love, nothing. Not even the good or bad circumstances that life brings.

There is nothing that we can do to earn the love of God. I am very greatful for this, what a blessing, right? Because to know God is to know the true love and this is what I have been learning the past couple of weeks. 

Helping with the Bibles for Costa Rica is one of the projects that I have been helping with and felt called to do in Tres Rios and Cartago. I love sharing the scriptures, and it is a marvelous gift to present the love, and the mercy that God has for those that have never experienced it. One of my prayers is that when we give the bibles, the people can have a revelation of a personal God that is more interested in us as individuals and a relationship with him than what we can do for Him.

 I believe that the impact of this project will be enormous because the scriptures have the power to change the physical and spiritual conditions of individuals, homes, communities, and therefore there is hope to see an entire nation transformed by the word of God. The idea is to put a bible in each home in Costa Rica alongside the local church.

One of the desires of my heart, apart from discipling youth, is also to teach the scriptures and therefore I am willing to continue forward being obedient in what He is confirming.

 It seems that love is the very popular theme this February, but my inspiration in writing this is the obedience, unexplainable passion, and sacrifice that Jesus showed us.

It´s all about willingness......

After having a great time with my family, I'm back at the base ready to be challenged and be part of the changes that God has for this year.

I´ve been receiving  direction and confirmation from God of quit serving with YWAM for a while, and also when I  get from God what I have to do in my next step I will let you know for you to be praying for it.

In this time of transition,I will be serving until the end of March serving with short-term outreaches and helping with the  Discipleship Training School(DTS) with the girls giving one on ones to help to develop what God wants to do with them and follow up the new things that God has shown them in the last three weeks.

Please be praying for me, since I'll be taking some classes for my driver's license so I can be better equiped in the ministry, also for an apartment.

I  invite you to partner financially with me in the ministry here in Costa Rica. It is a great way to get involved in missions even if you cannot go yourself. Thank you  for supporting   what God is doing in other parts of the world..
